Delighted to announce that Art Jam Ireland will again be participating in Dublin’s Culture Night.  This year we will be doing a children’s art jam on Curved Street in Temple Bar from 5-7pm.  This is first come first served event.  Children are encouraged to be inspired by the evenings art events and then paint something on a canvas to take home with them.  This is a free event.

Art Jam Ireland will be doing public art jams in Merrion Square on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May as part of the Dublin City Soul Festival   see www.dublincitysoulfestival.com  This is a fantastic festival that has been runnning for five years now, and raises funds and awareness for the Musical Youth Foundation.  The final two days of the festival take place in Merrion Square over the weekend. So come along and get creative and create your own masterpiece while listening to the sounds of live soul music in the beautiful surounds of merrion sqaure park.  Unfortunately we can’t offer the art jam for free, as most festivals have had their funding cut enourmously this year..So while I am happy to give my time and effort.. we do have to cover our basic costs and offer something to the Musical Youth Foundation….So the price will be €20pp.  €5 of which will go to the MYF… for this you get to use all the materials - paints, brushes, aprons, easels, and you get to take home your 16×20″ stretched canvas that can be hung straight on to the wall…

Art Jam Ireland is delighted to announce that it has been invited to participate at the Street Performance World Championships in Dublin this year.  The event will take place on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th June in Merrion Square.  There will hour long art jam sessions from 12 to 7 on Saturday and 12 to 6 on Sunday.  This is FREE EVENT to the public and anyone can attend.  Adult and child participation is encouraged.  The theme for inspiration will be “A world without smoking - A cleaner healthier environment” as this art jam will be in conjunction with the EU anti smoking campaign “Help!”    So come along and get creative in a wonderful setting…   Check out  www.spwc.ie

Art Jam Ireland is holding an art jam to raise funds for Concern’s Haiti Appeal.  This event will take place in Mary’s Rugby Club, Templeville Road, Templeogue, Dublin 6W on 18th February. There will be two painting sessions back to back first one at 7pm and the second at 9pm. Full bar will be available for the event.  All materials provided, each person takes home their painting.  Come along and get creative for a good cause. Happy New Year to you all.  I hope 2010 will be more fruitful in every way than 2009 for all of you.  If you haven’t already tried art jamming then make it one of your new year resolutions.  I will be starting up Wednesday Night Art Jams from Wednesday 27th January, up on the Killakee Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16.  They will start at 7:30pm and go on til aprox 10:30 to 11pm.  All materials including the essential glass of wine will be included in the price, each person takes home their original painting on stretched canvas so they can be hung straight onto the wall in pride of place in the home or office. Guidance and instruction will be given if required.  Price €25 pp.

Its a great night to come along to on your own, make new friends, come with friends, come along for one art jam or sign up for four and get a discount.  Whatever suits you best, I hope to see you there sometime soon.
