Happy New Year…

Posted: Sunday, January 4th, 2009

Happy New Year to you all … lets hope its a good one for everyone … and I hope that all of you who haven’t yet tried art jamming will get around to it sometime this year.  Why not do something new, try something that you haven’t done before…. why not get a group of ten or more of your friends together and have an art jam in your kitchen – you don’t have to have a reason!!.. just do it for fun.  Hopefully the Tuesday Art Jam evenings in the Piedescalso will be starting up before the end of January (as soon as they have the renovations completed)… and we will also be participating at the Cultivate centre on the 7th February  www.cultivate.ie  and many more events are being planned throughout the year. Check back regularly for updates or email info@artjam.ie to be added to the mailing list if you want to be advised when something new comes up.

In the meantime I wish each and every one of you a very Happy and Prosperous 2009.

Best Wishes, Deirdre

Art Jam Ireland has been invited to participate in the Kick-Start 2009 programme with the Cultivate Centre in Temple Bar  http://www.cultivate.ie/learning/health_spirit/kick_start_2009.html

If you haven’t already attended an art jam then now is the time to try something new!  The art jam will take place in the evening from 6-8pm at the Cultivate Centre.. and all the participants will get to explore their own creativity with paints.  All materials are provided from easels, to brushes and sponges, paints and books for inspiration… so you will feel like an artist for a few hours. Everyone gets to take home their very own deep edge canvas in a take away box.  To have a look at some of the paintings done by people that think they can’t paint click http://www.artjam.ie/news-events/?p=72

So be brave, be daring… and try something new for the new year and the new you… get art jamming!

Places are limited so please book your place – email deirdre@artjam.ie or info@artjam.ie or telephone 0860615695.  Price is €35 per person.. and it will be the best €35 you will spend all year! Tuesday Art Jam @ Piedescalso Art Cafe

Posted: Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

Well…. here are the photos from the first night’s art jam at the Piedescalso… as you can see everyone really enjoyed themselves, made new friends, and surprised themselves with their own ability and talent! Thanks to all who came last night, I have no doubt we will see you all again soon…

We have decided to change the format slightly and now instead of getting a complimentary glass of wine the Piedescalso will be offering all you can eat tapas…. and you won’t want to miss this mouth watering food…. so come along and have a go at table top art jamming, you get the use of all materials, your take away canvas in a take away box… and all you can eat tapas will be available all evening long… and all for €25… like I said “sure what else would you be doing on a Tuesday evening!”

There will be two more Tuesday art jams on the 9th & 16th December, then the cafe will be closed over Christmas and will re open again in January and we will start up the art jams again.

Anyway.. here are the photos:-

In the planning!….. ART JAM EXTRAVAGANZA…

Posted: Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

Its the new year… its a new idea…..Its an Art Jam Extravaganza….

One venue…4 live bands…. 4 back to back art jam sessions…. an exhibition by up and coming artists to inspire …. wine and tapas….

The idea is to have four different live bands playing different types of music throughout the night from 7 to 11pm, each band will play for an hour, each art jam session will last an hour, … you choose who you want to paint to!… stay and listen to music, hang around to see what everyone else is painting, have a glass of wine.. take away your painting in a take away box or have it framed!

Places will need to be booked in advance, and we are hoping to keep the price at the standard price of €35 per head.  Venue to be confirmed, but will be in Dublin city centre.

To go on the mailing list for updates email me at info@artjam.ie.  Updates will be posted on this page as we move along and get closer to the time.

Coming Soon…. “ART JAM ON THE MOVE”

Posted: Friday, October 10th, 2008

An idea has been born!  ART JAM ON THE MOVE

…..  once a month at a different venue around Dublin there will be a public art jam that anyone can come along and attend with a maximum number of 30 people.  These art jams will take place in a range of venues from an empty retail unit, community hall, local pub… or any venue that I think will be suitable.  This will give people a chance from all around Dublin to experience an art jam, it will also give people a chance to do it more than once, and it eliminates the need for someone wanting to try it to have to organise an art jam!…. if you would be interested in attending and would like to be kept up to date with events please email me at info@artjam.ie to be added to the mailing list.  I will also be listing any events on the Events Page………  Come back soon to check for news on the first “Art Jam on the Move” coming soon.

Hi everyone. As promised updated showcase gallery.  This will be interesting for all of you out there who think they can’t paint.  Every painting here in the gallery was painted by someone who is not an artist and many who thought they couldn’t paint.
